Rundweg Kues zum Plateau und zurück

A circular walk through the Kues district, up to the Skywalk, a viewing platform in the Kues vineyards. A circular walk featuring sights such as St Nicholas Hospital/Cusanus Foundation and ‘Alt Kues’. 

Kues is the largest district of the Moselle town of Bernkastel-Kues and was an independent village until 1904, when it was merged with the town of Bernkastel. Kues is famous and internationally renowned as the birthplace of Nikolaus Cusanus, one of the most significant philosophers and clergymen of the modern era.

In Kues, visitors will find a lively townscape with shops, wineries and accommodation providers offering hotels, guesthouses and holiday flats. The banks of the Moselle in Kues are ideal for a leisurely stroll and also offer leisure activities such as mini-golf, canoeing or a children’s playground.

The walking route offers places to stop for refreshments in restaurants or at wineries. The tour provides a good insight into the vibrant life of a small town on the Moselle and showcases the full spectrum of a typical Moselle village: narrow, often cobbled lanes in Alt-Kues, impressive panoramic views from the Moselle bridge, the riverbank and the vineyards – including the Skywalk, situated near the Kues Plateau.
